The Ministry of Justice has started the public consultations of the drafts for the new Strategy in the justice sector and the Action Plan
On March 5, 2020, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice took place the first working session of public consultations regarding the draft of the new policy documents: the new Strategy in the justice sector and the Action Plan for it implementation.
At the session attended representatives of the Superior Council of Magistracy, judges of the courts, as well as representatives of civil society and foreign partners.
During the discussions, the representatives of the judiciary welcomed the fact that the draft of the new policy document contains a series of proposals that they presented to the Ministry of Justice.
Also, new intervention measures have been highlighted, which should be reflected in the draft because they aim to ensure the independence of the judges, increase the quality of the justice act, consolidate the aspects of organizing the courts, and other.
The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Justice, Radu Foltea encouraged all participants to submit additional proposals / comments, so that the draft could be completed on mutually acceptable principles.
In the end, it was mentioned that all the opinions expressed regarding the draft of the new policy document, received by the Ministry of Justice, will be disseminated to all participants at the session.
