The Ministry of Justice and the United Nations Children's Fund in Moldova approved an Action Plan regarding the juvenile justice
Today, March 11, 2020, the Minister of Justice, Fadei Nagacevschi had a working meeting with the country representative of the United Nations Children's Fund in Moldova (UNICEF), Desiree Monique Jongsma.
The Ministry of Justice and UNICEF, aim to provide to all children a friendly justice system, which would ensure the protection against violence, abuse and neglect while preventing the risks for them to break the law.
In this regard, Mr Fadei Nagacevschi and UNICEF country representative, Mrs Desiree Monique Jongsma approved the Action Plan for the years 2020-2021. The Action Plan aim is to provide cooperation and management in cases concerning children under criminal responsibility and minors that break the law, under the aspect related to the adjustment of the normative framework, as well as aspects related to probation services.
In accordance with the proposed priorities concerning the access of children to justice, UNICEF and the Ministry of Justice contribute to ensure that all judicial procedures are conducted in a child-friendly manner, as well as not victimizing them in the act of justice.
