Mr Sergiu Litvinenco to the graduates of the National Institute of Justice: “I suggest you don’t fall prey to temptations at the sight of bags or other favors, but to make correct decisions’’

The Ministry of Justice, Mr Sergiu Litvinenco, participated today at the handover ceremony of diplomas to the graduates of the National Institute of Justice, the 14th promotion. The Minister came with a congratulatory message to future judges and prosecutors, suggesting them to be correct and integral through their activity.

“I see young enthusiastic people with potential, willing to practice in the justice system. We have high expectations and rely on you, new generation of judges and prosecutors, especially in the context of the launched systemic reform in the judiciary, orientated towards exclusion from the system of corrupt persons, with integrity issues, and promoting those honest and fair” said the Minister of Justice.

In this context, Mr Sergiu Litvinenco mentioned that the justice reform will create the necessary premises for the graduated candidates to develop in an environment of integral and fair-minded professionals. You are at the beginning of your path and have not been involved yet in corrupt schemes and stain your name with “dirty money”. That’s why, I suggest you don’t fall prey to temptations at the sight of bags or other favors, but take correct decisions, because the people’s destiny depends on these decisions. This is the only way to obtain our people’s trust and respect, since they have been waiting for so many years for the justice system to work for them and not against them. Now is your chance to be a part of the “history” of justice reform, but you have to be honest, determined, brave, with verticality and professional ethics” mentioned Mr. Sergiu Litvinenco.

The Minister of Justice was invited to hand out diplomas and trophies to the best students of the 14th promotion of NIJ. “I congratulate you and wish you great successes in the important and responsible mission you have – convince the entire society to trust the judiciary, especially you, future judges and prosecutors” concluded Mr Litvinenco.

This year, 34 candidates graduated the National Institute of Justice: 19 candidates for the position of prosecutors and 15 candidates for the position of judges.
